Well, to begin with it’s not a pier. A pier is where you can tie up a boat, et cetera. this thing looks like part of a sea wall or some other harbor protecion
Great point! You are technically correct. I used “pier” because this is right on the edge of the Ala Wai Boat harbor. So yes while this particular location is not a pier, it’s on the edge of nothing but piers.
