Hypothetically – if I were to move back to Hawaii and had an Apple iPhone on the ATT network – would I be getting dropped calls all the time, or is the ATT network in Hawaii reliable and worth it? Now that the Verizon iPhone exists – and so many tech bloggers are screaming HOORAY – I’d like to know which is better in Hawaii.
If you’ve used both services in Hawaii – excellent! Where are the bad connection spots? Or, is Honolulu itself an entire dead-zone?
If you’ve used one – can you report on your personal experience using the iPhone with either network?
Has anyone taken a factory unlocked iPhone from overseas and put a t-mobile SIM card in it? How’s that treating you?
Any information on using the iPhone in Hawaii – much appreciated. Thanks!
Aloha,
Peter Kay
I tweeted this same idea – and had a couple of people get back to me and tell me that the iPhone 4 in Honolulu – Waikiki in particular – does not work very well using ATT service.
Whether it works better on Verizon or not – isn’t known at this time – will post it here when I hear from someone using Verizon IPhone 4 on Oahu.
What about the other islands?
