What are the biggest Hawaii newcomer obstacles?
The very best questions from from you and big mahalo to Tracy from Naples, Florida for this one:
What are the top 3 biggest obstacles and their solutions, most newcomers face when moving to, and once living in Hawaii?
While discussing the solutions is far beyond the scope of this segment (quick answer: live in Hawaii for over 10 years and you’ll have an idea of the solutions), we did talk about the key challenges and it really comes down to adopting a very different mindset. Watch the video and let me know what you think – more importantly – send us your questions!

Mahalo Heidi for the idea!
I really like your website. I am planning to spend time in Kaneohe in a home I recently purchased with my son and his wife. Currently , I live in Florida and in Maine. ( I am a Bostonian by birth)
Can you discuss living on the Windward side of Oahu … Im more familiar with Honolulu area. I currently hold a multistate nursing license and am trained in mediation and law (JD). One of my goals is to be able to contribute to the Kaneohe community if possible.
Mahalo Nancy! You really want to be a part of our Islander Ohana – get on the list as weʻre going to have a 2024 cohort. You can also get on the live show and ask your questions there!
Hawaii requires its own nursing license. I also have compact license and it is not recognized in Hawaii. Go to the Hawaii BON and get the application. Aloha! Hawaii nursing is awesome.
Congratulations!
