Let’s go into a fresh lava field in Hawaii
I took a trip to the Big Island and we went into the town of Kalapana which was nearly destroyed by lava flows in the 80s. Today it’s become a visitor destination to explore the lava fields. We were deep in one and I thought I’d take this very quick video to give you a feel for what it’s like.

I’ve lived Hawaii since the mid ‘80s when I moved here at the age of 21. I arrived site-unseen in Honolulu with zero contacts and about $5k in savings. I worked from nearly zero and today Hawaii has given me the greatest gifts in the world in all aspects: spiritually, financially, romantically (married since early ‘90s w/ 2 children), and most important, peace. My goal with this site is to share the magic of this Land of Aloha and help others who are on a similar quest.
We have a potential to move to hawaii (i lived there briefly a few years ago and have wanted to go back since) however now I have children and have reservations about moving back due to family here giving us a hard time. Do you really lose contact with family back on mainland over time.
