Just Another Typical Sunset
Which is why this is so killer! You see these kinds of sunsets off Waikiki all the time. The sailboats give it away. I recall one time at a party on the beach, there was this amazing sunset firing off and while some people stopped to gaze (like the rest of the beachgoers!) there were a few in the party that were carrying on like nothing else was happening. Sometimes we get so used to the incredible daily beauty of Hawaii that indeed we take it for granted – after all – there’s a lifetime left to see.
But that’s the secret, right? Never, ever take this incredible gift for granted. To live here and see this as an everyday occurrence is indeed an amazing gift unto itself.
