Sixteen People Are In. A Few Spots Left in the Fall Cohort
Sixteen people have signed up for the Fall cohort of Moving to Hawaii: The Complete Relocation Course. We have room for a few more, and sign ups close Thursday, October 15.
If you have been sitting on this one, now is the week to decide.
Who signed up
Families working through schools and budget. People near retirement running the numbers on whether it actually pencils out. Remote workers trying to figure out if the idea is realistic or if they are romanticizing it. A few folks already living in Hawaii who are thinking about a different island. One person who took an earlier version of this class years ago and wanted to come back through it again.
That mix is the whole point. The live calls get a lot better when the questions come from people at different stages, because you end up hearing the question you did not know to ask yet.
Why we are keeping it small
This is not a webinar where you sit on mute and watch a slide deck. Every Saturday is a live hour with Nancy Miller where people actually talk. That only works if the group stays small enough for everyone to get real time.
So there is a ceiling on this cohort, and we are closer to it than we were a week ago.
What you get
Six weeks, twenty-nine lessons, six live Saturdays. Each week you watch a recorded lesson on your own time, then join the live call to ask whatever is actually on your mind.
The weeks run in order: whether Hawaii is right for you, choosing the island, buying a home here, work and money and retirement, the logistics of the move itself, and settling in once you arrive. Two bonus lessons cover bringing pets, which is the part most people underestimate.
You can read every lesson, week by week before you decide.
The dates
Registration closes: Thursday, October 15
First lesson opens: Sunday, October 18
Live calls: Six Saturdays, October 24 through November 28, at 9:00 am Hawaii time
If you are on the mainland, your clocks change on November 1 and ours do not, so the call time shifts an hour earlier partway through. We will remind you before it happens.
Every call is recorded and posted afterward, so missing one is not a problem.
Still free
Earlier cohorts were paid. This one is not. No card, nothing to cancel. We would rather have you in the room.
Join the Fall cohort
Sign ups close Thursday, October 15, and the class starts three days later.
