Hawaii Photo of the Week: Rainbow Falls

Rainbow Falls on the Big Island

Just a short drive outside of Hilo town on the Big Island will bring you to this dramatic waterfall view that you can actually hike around. This shot is on a particularly heavy day but Hilo’s naturally wet climate will always give you some kind of waterfall. It’s definitely a don’t miss.

In Hilo, Hawai’i (USA) the Wailuku River tumble 80 feet to form Rainbow Falls. The lava cave behind the falls was said to be the home of Hina, an ancient Hawaiian goddess associated with the moon.
