Hello Peter, I wonder if you could answer my question. I currently live in LA. I don’t like Winter time and was hoping to come
work in Hawaii in a Hotel. I’m Swiss and speak 5 languages and thought this might come in handy. I am world traveled and
multidimensional, with a lot of experience in various positions, as long as it is NOT “Office related work”. I was thinking maybe as a Receptionist, or Hostess. I am artistically inclined, so the more creative the position, the better. What are my chances?
Check out my homepage. I have links to articles on how to get a job in Hawaii
I’ve been to Hawaii throughout my life, but mostly as a stepping stone while en route to the Far East. Beautiful, a nice place to visit, but why would I want to live there? I have advantages here in rural southern Alabama that I could not possibly find in Hawaii. Sure, sometimes we have to use both the A/C and heater in the same day, but one grows accustomed to that slight inconvenience. I live here on a shoestring, and in the event I should suffer a financial setback, I have the local resources with which to survive. Whenever I feel the urge to see sand and surf and warmer weather, it’s only a short drive to Florida. P.S. I’ll be seeing you guys for a one-week visit come July, even with the pandemic. FYI, I’m caught up on my shots.
Hi Peter,
After reading many blogs you have helped I am very interested in talking to you.
Would it be possible to schedule a call or email session regarding moving to Hawaii from the UK at some point.
All The Best
Chris

Hi Peter, I live in Canada and am in my late 20’s , I work as a Special Ed teacher. I have taken your quiz on living in Hawaii and it said it would be a good fit. If you live outside of the US moving to Hawaii where do you start?
The place to start is US Immigration.
I have a suggestion for Nelson from South Africa. Why don’t you move to Australia . A lot of South Africans have moved to Western Australia . Australia is a lot safer than South Africa. It is still safe to do most things anywhere in Australia .
Hi – this may be a bit of a strange, more food related issue – I have lived on Oahu about 15 years ago and have moved around the world since then. Now I have a family (two little boys) and my husband and I would like to move back to Oahu. I have become a raw vegan about 4 years ago and I hear the weirdest stories, that you cannot eat the lettuce they grow on the Islands because of some snail parasite…. not sure if this is true? Do they still have local markets, where you can get lots of fresh produce, like fruits and vegetables for a reasonable price, as this is all I live on….
Thank you so much
Not to worry. One of my daughters is a hard-core vegan though not an exclusively raw vegan. It’s not cheap, as you know, but she gets along with little problems.
I applied and had lenghty phone interveiw with honoua ola bioenergy, just wondering what is going on with site progress? said they are to be completed late 2018, but have not heard from them since march, did get one email saying still under consideration, this would really help relocation
What are the quiz results based on? I would like to know more about what determines whether or not Hawaii would be a good fit for someone.
Not sure what you mean. The results are based on the degree of change one would have to undergo to adjust to the lifestyle here.
Good evening Me Kay
My Name is Nelson, and I’m for South Africa,
I’ve been looking into leaving the RSA, with a young child South Africa is becoming one or is most probably already one of the most dangerous countries to live in, both my wife and I are both qualified, my self in Construction and mining SHERQ and my wife a Teacher, we looking for a country where we can raise our son and not have to lock our selves in a fort Knox home, behind trelly doors and alarms, sleeping with a machete next to the side of ones bed every night. Are there possibilities for some one who is fast reaching his 50s
Regards
Nelson
I’m so sorry to hear of your situation. Many of us in America take our freedom and safety for granted. I will pray for you and your family and hope you can immigrate to the USA.
Hello, I am a mom of four boys. We live in Wyoming in the middle of nowhere so we are already very familiar with the minimalist way of life and eating goods from gardens, hunting, and local markets. I’m a fan of Amazon ☺. I am a teacher in K-8. I work with the Northern Arapaho tribe on a reservation. The population is mainly Native American where we live. I am also working on my master’s in Deaf Education birth through 21. My partner is a carpenter. We have 35K in savings so far. We would need a 3 bedroom 1 bath place minimal. What are our chances of relocation to the islands and obtaining jobs? Many thanks!
Did you take the quiz? What was the result?
