Dylan Nonaka
Dylan Nonaka is a fourth-generation Hawaii resident, born and raised on his family’s coffee farm in Captain Cook. A graduate of Konawaena High School, he has deep familial and cultural ties to the islands. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps and deploying during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003, he returned home to earn a degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Hawaii at Hilo. Today, Dylan and his wife Monica, a former local school teacher, are raising their two sons in the same community where he grew up, continuing a long family legacy in South Kona. Dylan’s expertise is built on years of firsthand experience across the entire state. Before entering real estate, he served in appointed positions within the Hawaii Governor’s Office and the Honolulu City Council, providing him with a unique understanding of island policy and community infrastructure. His career has since taken him to every major Hawaiian island, where he has led teams and navigated the distinct market nuances of each district. From the volcanic landscapes of the Big Island to the urban centers of Oahu, Dylan’s knowledge of Hawaii is rooted in a lifetime of local living and professional service. In his professional life, Dylan is the Broker-in-Charge and Team Leader of The Agency Team Hawaii, the state’s #1 real estate team. His team is recognized for its commitment to strong island values and a client-first culture, serving over 1,000 families in 2025 alone. Dylan also continues to serve his community and country as an Engineer Officer in the U.S. Army Reserve. When he isn’t working, he can usually be found training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or spending time outdoors with his family.
