I too was Blessed to live on Oahau, from 1973-1976, while serving in the U.S.Army. I’m forever impacted by my 2Hawaiian Brothers/Friends that befriended me. I’d been very depressed, thinking I would never see them again. By GOD’S GRACE and HANDS, I was able to return in 2017 for my 25th. Wedding anniversary. (Ironic, Yes! Serving in the 25th. Infantry Dividion). I was able to reconnect w/my Brother from the Big Island, however, unable to meet my Brother living on Ohau. A huge hole was filled, as we talked story, had grind sessions, and reminiscing of our privileged youth. I’d love to return, and SUP/Boogie Board and Body Surf. Never know, yes! Blessings… Aloha Florida side…
Thank you for sharing your wonderful experiences!
I love your blog, your webcast, and the photos you post. I left Oahu to go to college on the mainland, married, raised family, and now am ready to retire. My dream has always been to return to the islands but have been concerned with the cost of living. Then I see what you post, my heart starts longing afresh and I remember that all the things I love to do there are free! There is hope :)
When I come back and are looking for a home, I will assuredly use one of your partners. Thanks for keeping my dream alive!
Best regards and good health to you!
